The scope of works comprised a new single storey classroom block containing three reception classrooms, including circulation space and toilets. Prior to starting on site we were hit with the first wave of the Covid lockdown so works came to a halt for a short time.

Once we were able to return we held several H&S meetings with the Headteacher to ensure our working practices were compliant and that he was happy to continue.

Fortunately the only children on site were those of Key Workers so it was easier for us to continue without causing too much disruption. During this time we donated 10 laptops to the school for the children to work from home.

Headteacher Roger Mitchell said “I am overwhelmed by the generosity of Arc. Their donation of 10 laptops for our children came out of the blue. These will help 10 of our most disadvantaged pupils access the online learning that we are providing during the lockdown. It will make a real difference to their lives and learning. I can’t thank Arc enough for this wonderful gift to our pupils”
