Supporting the Next Generation of Electrical Talent
Part of our ongoing commitment to developing local talent and strengthening the future workforce, we have supported 4 electrical apprentices while completing lateral mains works at Poplar HARCA. Their involvement has supported in project delivery and long-term community impact through skills development and employment pathways.
From the site team:
“The apprentices working on our lateral mains and lighting project for Poplar Harca have progressed greatly in their craftsmanship, widened their variety of work tasks, and learnt to take care of their working areas to respect the residents. They’ve also liaised with residents, boosting their confidence and teaching them how to deal with all people — a key skill in itself.” Dan Andrews, MEP Site Manager
From the apprentices:
“Being a 3rd-year apprentice, I’ve had the opportunity to work on multiple jobs with Arc. Working on the Poplar Harca project has widened my knowledge on wiring and containment and improved my skills in engaging with residents and maintaining good housekeeping.” Ben Miles, Electrical Apprentice
“I’m currently completing my L3 electrical apprenticeship with Arc and have worked on a variety of projects. Supporting the electricians on the Poplar Harca contract has helped me gain knowledge of different types of electrical works. Being an apprentice has been vital in preparing me for the wide range of electrical tasks I’ll face in the future.” George Burton, Electrical Apprentice
We're incredibly proud of the progress these apprentices are making and the value they bring to our projects and the team. Investing in the future talent is investing in the future of the industry.
