The replacement of electrical risers and laterals & lighting / emergency lighting / walkway estate lighting installations, upgrading to video access control and within blocks at Dalston Lane, Hindery Road, Shellness Road & Tolsford Road and Bruce House as a separate project, running concurrently. We also upgraded all street lighting surrounding the blocks.

This Hackney estate was built in 1999 and has a distinctive checkerboard-pattern façade. All works were undertaken by our in-house M&E team to over 300 properties.

Liaison with UKPN for the upgrading of the service heads and cabling was essential due to programme requirements and this was carried out successfully and to programme.

Communication with the residents was paramount for this project and we had a full site team based within the Dalston Lane Estate who regularly communicated with the residents and made appointments when necessary for access to their properties. A dedicated RLO was on site full time.

We had to book appointments for 3 visits to each property for the following:

• EICR Tests

• Installation of cabling and cut-out

• Change over and commissioning
