Arc Group’s Fire Compliance Teams, operating within our Property Services Division, specialise in supporting clients with critical Building Safety Measures.  We have partnered with various local authorities to address fire safety and compliance issues within residential properties, communal areas and HMO settings.  Our comprehensive approach ensures that buildings meet the highest safety standards, protecting residents and property alike.

Key Works:

• Fire Safety Assessments: many clients discovered that numerous doors – both internal and external – were non-fire rates, alongside other compliance issues.  Following risk assessments conducted by external agencies, our team performed detailed door surveys and compartmentation surveys in key areas such as properties, lofts, riser cupboards and basements
• Scope of Works Development: based on our findings, we meticulously drew up the scope of works, outlining necessary fire safety improvements.  This plan was then submitted to our clients for approval
• Product Procurement: we sourced all required materials, including fire-stopping products and compartmentation systems.  For door replacements, we ordered third-party certified door sets, rated for either 30 or 60 minutes, depending on the building’s fire strategy
• Fire Safety & Compliance Works: our team executed the fire safety upgrades, ensuring passive fire protection was in place.  This included the removal of existing door sets and the installation of new, third-party accredited door sets, all done under strict adherence to manufacturer instructions, guidelines and in compliance with TRADA standards
• Quality Assurance: every aspect of the work was meticulously inspected and signed off by our TRADA-accredited experts.  We documented the process with photos taken before, during and after the works, which were then uploaded to our Arc Projects platform – an open resource for our clients
• Data Tagging: to maintain a robust record of compliance, we utilised Data Tag technology for all installed door sets.  This information was also recorded on our client-accessible portal, ensuring transparency and ongoing safety management
