We are committed to achieving the UK government’s target of net-zero carbon by 2050. The built environment accounts for more than 40% of the country’s total carbon footprint* and we are focused on reducing our carbon emissions in every way possible, from the types of materials and construction methods we use to minimising all the other factors that contribute to the ‘embodied carbon’ of our buildings: i.e., everything from increasing the energy efficiency of the buildings themselves, to ensuring the eco-friendly sustainability of our buildings across their life span and beyond.
